Yunior Hurtado Torres (1977) is an extraordinary Cuban artist, who celebrates life and the Cuban vitality in his portraits of Cuba and the Cuban people.

The oil paintings radiate a warmth and fervour that invites to dialogue and smiles. The powerful strokes of the brush and the glowing palette support the artistic interpretation of the portrayed.

Yunior is educated at Academy of Fine Arts ”Oscar Fernández Morera” in Trinidad, Cuba in 1999 and functions as professor at Academy of Fine Arts in Santa Clara, Cuba, where he also has his atelier. He has participated in many art projects in Cuba among others ”III Concurso Nacíonal PMA en accíon”, Havana and has won quite a few national prizes.
