Lolo (1976) relates to Cuba with accurate strokes of the brush and a competent and detailed clarity, which lends the composition an almost photographic appearance. The brilliant colours of the palette create fascinating scenes and humorous comments in the inspiring oil paintings.

The magic realism in the amazing works situates the iconic symbols in a new context and thereby convincingly comments on the Cuban life with great irony and sincerity.

Lolo is educated at The Academy of Fine Arts in San Alejandro, Cuba and has functioned as professor at Academy of Fine Arts “Félix Varela”. His works have the attention of collectors from all over the world and was exhibited at Havana Biennial 2009
